Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) involves the cognitive and emotional systems in the brain. Within these pathways there is considerable overlap with vision. Accordingly, an effective treatment for PTSD is through the vision system allowing a dissociation between the cognitive and emotional systems.
