WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE ACCOMMOTRAC® VISION TRAINER (AVT)
ABOUT AVT
The original AVT that Dr. Trachtman constructed for his Doctoral Dissertation research.
Invented by Joseph N. Trachtman, O.D., Ph.D., the AVT is a clinical biofeedback
instrument that measures the focusing of the eye and instantaneously
converts it into a sound.
The technology of the AVT is based on NASA research, which you can read about in THE NASA CONNECTION.
Accommotrac® Vision Trainer, a biofeedback instrument to improve vision.
Originally designed to reduce myopia (nearsightedness), procedures have been developed to train most
vision disorders including hyperopia (farsightedness),
presbyopia, amblyopia, nystagmus, and strabismus. Additional training techniques have been formulated for
athletes, learning problems,
and vision loss due to accident, disease, or surgery. You can learn more about the training at the VISION DISORDERS, the MEDIA sections.
The training is fun, effective, and without side effects of medication or surgery. In addition to improved
vision, there are many other benefits to the training as a
result of the relationship between the eye and a part of the brain know as the hypothalamus, which is
explained in the Hypothalamus
discussion in the VISION DISORDERS section.
